Jim is an urban designer and planner with twenty years of experience planning for development enhancements throughout the Midwest, and nationally. In particular, he excels in the creation of visionary plans for downtowns, mixed-use neighborhoods, corridors, and business parks. He is adept at identifying untapped opportunities for development, and his illustrations are tailored to garner support and generate enthusiasm for project stakeholders. His designs for civic spaces grace downtown districts, community parks, public gardens, corporate campus’, business parks, office and retail venues, urban plazas, and public streets. Jim is skilled in the creation of graphic design concepts, master plans, construction plans, project budgets, and phasing and funding strategies. He is also expert in regional design and economic development opportunity analysis. Jim routinely conducts informative stakeholder interviews and leads interactive public meetings and workshops.
