Windows
Windows are key design elements for residential buildings,
providing a balance of solid to void. Windows also create a visual
connection between the public realm and a building and create
“eyes on the street,” contributing to a feeling of safety. Where
compatibility within a Character Area’s context is important,
consider the window patterns, proportions and transparency
levels of neighboring single-family homes when deciding on
window sizes and placement. Place a window opening to
