1920-1958: SMALL TOWN PLANO
This period begins around 1920, following World War I and the slow growth of the community. The population of Plano remains
steady around 1,600 people. Toward the end of this era, Plano begins to recognize its impending growth and takes measures to plan,
including a zoning ordinance and creation of the North Texas Municipal Water District.
