                                              In addition to the local designation status of a district, the
                                              guidelines must also be used when a property owner wishes to
                                              take advantage of available tax incentives. In order to receive
                                              the tax benefits, a project will be evaluated and must be found to
                                              be in accordance with the design guidelines. This is required for
                                              any project, regardless of location in a locally designated Historic
                                              Overlay District. See the table below for more details.
