Ensure information regarding Plano’s heritage resources is easily accessible and
available.
Recommendations
A Continue to expand the use and content of a historic inventory database
and to integrate it with the city’s GIS.
A Update existing property files periodically to ensure the most current
information is recorded and available on the city’s website.
A Compile stories about Plano’s history and culture in a central location that
is easily accessible, such as city libraries.
A Consider creating an interactive component to an online database of
important sites, buildings and stories where community members can
share stories, important sites, and photographs.
