New Development on the

Central Station Block

The Central Station block presents a unique
opportunity for creative density that contributes
to an active downtown, while reflecting the design
traditions of historic resources from the past 150
years.

Key to any new development on the Central Station
Block is that it should express creativity and

innovation in design, while drawing upon basic
features of the massing, architectural details and
styles seen in early- and mid-20th-century buildings.
Just as the surrounding buildings are “of their time,”
structure(s) on the Central Station block must be as
well.
