Typical Historic Door Doors and Entries
Types A door and entryway are often one of the most important character-defining
features of a house because they reflect the age and style of a building. The
design, materials and location of historic doors and entries help establish
the significance of a historic structure and should be preserved. When a new
door is needed, it should be in character with the building.
6.20 Preserve the decorative and functional features of a
primary entrance.
