Grenada County Build Better Together 2040 Plan
Action Agenda
The goals in this Grenada County 2040 Plan will ultimately be attained through a variety of specific actions
itemized in each Plan section. The set of initiatives highlighted in this Implementation section cut across – and
are supported by – multiple elements within the Plan. Compiled in the Action Agenda table below is a set of
14 key action items derived from the Plan sections. The table does not include every recommendation found
throughout this Plan, some of which aim to reinforce or expand upon existing beneficial activities by the County,
City and their many partners. Instead, it details a shorter “to do” list of initial strategic priorities, their potential
timing and who is responsible for initiating, overseeing and participating in the implementation process.
The Action Agenda table indicates a target timeframe for pursuing each action item, either in:
The near term, identified as 0-3 years after Plan adoption – with nine Action Agenda items in this initial
timeframe.
The mid term, identified as 4-9 years after adoption – with five Action Agenda items in this next
timeframe.
The long term, identified as 10+ years after adoption – with no Action Agenda items in this most remote
timeframe, although various strategic actions in this Plan are so designated, suggesting that only
preparatory steps might be taken over the next decade.
Additionally, the action strategies are categorized as to whether they will involve:
1. Capital investments,
2. Programs and initiatives,
3. Regulations and standards,
4. Partnerships and coordination, and/or
5. More targeted planning / study.
Most capital projects will also require some degree of feasibility analysis, detailed design and specifications,
construction documentation, and definitive cost estimates.
