6 Treatment of Historic
Resources
This chapter provides guidelines for the treatment of contributing historic
buildings in State College’s local historic districts – the College Heights and HISTORIC
Holmes-Foster/Highlands Historic Districts. The design guidelines provided ARCHITECTURAL
in this chapter are advisory only and do not require review by the Historic STYLES
and Architectural Review Board (HARB) prior to beginning a project. Many architectural styles are
