Preserving historic resources in Waxahachie is a key factor in
promoting sustainability, which yields substantial benefits to the
community. These can be described in the three basic categories
of sustainability, which are: (1) Cultural/Social, (2) Environmental,
and (3) Economic.

and features are essential components of the City’s cultural
