            Future Recreation and Image-Building Potential


            The City of Grenada owns and maintains six parks as displayed on the accompanying map and itemized in the
            table  below.  Of  these,  two  are  classified  as  Neighborhood  parks,  three  are  Community  parks,  and  one  is  a
            Special Use park. The total area within the five parks
            is an estimated 332.9 acres, with the vast majority
            of this acreage within the Lee Tartt Nature Preserve.
            In  addition  to  the  City-owned  parks,  Grenada
            County residents have access to:
                Grenada  Youth  League  ballfields  (#8  on  the
                 map).
                Hugh  White  State  Park,  operated  by  the
                 Mississippi  Department  of  Wildlife,  Fisheries,   Grenada residents benefit from a nearby state park.
                 and Parks.
                The Dogwoods Golf Course (within the State Park), operated by the City of Grenada.
                Grenada Lake, operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
                Malmaison State Wildlife Management Area.

            Another 175 acres of City-owned property in the northern part of the city, along Paper Mill Road, is currently in
            Phase 1 of development for a sports complex and will ultimately attract leagues and tournaments from across
            the region. The new facility will also be available for local community use primarily during the week and when
            not in use for tournament play on weekends.
