8.37 Do not use synthetic materials, such as aluminum,
vinyl or panelized brick, as replacements for primary
building materials.
a. Primary building materials, such as wood siding
and masonry, should not be replaced with synthetic
materials.
b. Modular materials should not be used as replacement
materials. Synthetic stucco and panelized brick, for
example, are inappropriate.

historic structure.
