Economic Development Success is Driving Growth in Grenada County
Early construction activity at the Milwaukee Tool site in the Grenada I-55 Business and Technology Park.
This Plan section purposely avoids various typical action recommendations intended for jurisdictions that do not
yet have in place a sophisticated economic development framework and apparatus as does Grenada County
through the Greater Grenada Partnership, along with the Grenada Area Chamber of Commerce and the Grenada
Tourism Commission. Information on the priorities of and tools employed by these entities is available on the
Partnership website (https://greatergrenada.com/), including many of the “nuts and bolts” of core economic
development practice (e.g., identified target industries, inventory of available sites/buildings and site selection
assistance, wide-ranging financing options and incentives available, area-specific data, certified Work Ready
Community and other area advantages, business retention/expansion activities, workforce development
initiatives, and information on area utility providers, local amenities and favorable cost of living).
