Roof
        The character of a historic roof should be preserved, including its
        form and materials, whenever feasible.


        8.8  Preserve the original roof form of a historic structure.
               a.  Avoid altering the angle of a historic roof. Instead,
                  maintain the perceived line and orientation of the roof as
                  seen from the street.
