Preservation of rights-of-way for thoroughfare system development is of considerable importance in a rapidly
growing area such as Grenada County. The area roadway network will need to continue to expand to
accommodate the increased travel demand resulting from population growth and ongoing commercial and
industrial development. As it continues to develop, the roadway network should not only address traffic and
safety needs but also be designed to reflect the surrounding land use and character, ranging from the most
urban to the most rural settings found across Grenada County.
